How Can We Mock God and Not Be Judged by Him?
The issue of same sex marriage has come up in a number of nations and now will be argued Tuesday, April 28 in front of the United States Supreme Court. A decision is expected this summer. The issue is whether one State by failing to recognize a same sex marriage permitted and performed in another State thereby violated that couple’s Constitutional rights under the 14th Amendment to due process and equal protection. In short, is the issue of marriage left to the States or is there Constitutional protection for same sex marriage?
An excellent analysis and prayer points have been produced by the Family Research Council in Washington D.C by its Chaplain, Pierre Bynum. www.frc.org.
A call has gone out to many pastors in the USA for prayer and preaching especially this Sunday, April 26. Prayer intercessors have been praying; these will continue before, during and after the two hour oral argument 10 AM Eastern Standard Time April 28. It’s time for us to pray fervently as never before!
At stake is the destiny of the United States as a “bridal” nation, a Godly nation, covenanted to, and dependent upon, the Living God as was intended by the founders. “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm 127:1.
People come out of same sex attractions every day, often thanks to the Holy Spirit, and so this can’t be a “civil right.” It’s a way that seems right to a person’s thinking at first, and may appeal to our emotions, but in the long run it’s eternally tragic. Proverbs 14:12, 16:25. By Abba Father’s definition it’s sexual immorality, enough to keep a person out of heaven. Revelation 21: 27 and 22:15. In love we need to tell this Truth, correcting and encouraging people to come out of the same sex lifestyle. (2 Timothy 2:24-26.)
Using the spiritual eyesight of Ephesians 6:12 the politically correct current movement to shift our morality to support same sex marriage is a flat out attack by the antichrist spirit against the Word of God, Jesus Christ Himself. Scripture tells us in Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Yeshua/ Jesus quoted these Scriptures as He twice defined marriage in the gospels: Matthew 19: 4-6 and Mark 10: 6-9: “ But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Additionally, His first miracle was performed at a jewish wedding between a man and a woman. John 2: 1-11. Verse 11 says: “ This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.” The enemy of Christ, the antichrist spirit, wishes to take all glory away from Christ.
As well, Yeshua is the soon-returning Bridegroom. We believers are His Bride, the Lamb’s wife (Revelation 21:9). As the Bride we join with the Holy Spirit in urging all humans to come to take the water of life freely. Revelation 22: 17.
If the enemy can change the definition of marriage he tears down any remaining Godly walls in this nation and mocks the Living God. To attack Yeshua/Jesus’ definition of marriage is to attack His glory, His miracle at the wedding in Cana, His Holy Word, His sacred institution lovingly placed as the Way to populate this unique planet from the beginning of the creation.
God is not mocked. How can any nation attack His exact words and not be judged by Him? Our nation once had a Godly destiny. We are rapidly departing from God. Very few if any national leaders see this spiritual battle.
The good news is that in this spiritual battle you and I count to the Lord as His People called by His Name. Join us not just in prayer but in fervent prayer that the Truth would be revealed to these nine Justices and that God’s definition of marriage would be upheld.
We are like King Jehoshaphat, 2 Chronicles 20: 12 who said: “ …we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”
Join us now for prayer for this same sex case, for His Truth to prevail. And do take time to pray, fast and repent on the National Day of Repentance on April 30. We have great support from our brothers and sisters in other nations. www.dayofrepentance.org. Your personal repentance will allow the Lord to hear from heaven.
It could not be more timely.
God bless you,
